Grand Blue Harbor (Rockport Harbor x Grand Slam), Blue, is a 16.1 hand 2014 thoroughbred mare who had 36 starts and retired off the track in September 2020. After being let down she began her retraining in 2021. Blue has three lovely and very floaty gaits, which would easily allow her to excel in the show arena. She has a very soft mouth and carries herself in a natural balance, maintaining a consistent rhythm with or without contact. She is apt to cary herself in a frame suited for the hunter arena, but is also extremely surefooted and careful on her feet outside. Blue is proving to be very confident over fences and I think this confidence would also allow her to excel as an event horse. She enjoys hacks out around the farm alone or with company. Blue is really capable of heading any direction from this point and seems to enjoy having a variety of jobs. If you're searching for something smooth and comfortable but with a desire to perform and try new things, this is your horse. She is easy to handle on the ground, stands for the farrier and hauls off the farm regularly. Blue is current on all vaccines, dental and farrier work.
