Miss Simon, Wren, 2013 16h mare by Siente El Trueno and out of Simon Slew. Wren last raced in 2020 and has enjoyed a long slow let down and restart. She is such a sweet natured and naturally quiet mare that she was being produced by a junior not in a program. While she is still learning to remain steady in the connection and through her transitions, she is a very nice minded type that is forgiving and has a bit more whoa than go at this time. In addition, she is so simple to travel with and ride in new places. She hacks out alone or in a group, trailers off the farm 2-3 times a week and loves trail riding. Wren has 3 smooth gaits and an uphill canter that will be awesome to develop. I can see her heading in pretty much any direction and remaining very amateur friendly. Additionally, she has superb manners on the ground and loves to be pampered. You can even pony her from the gator, the pickup, or another horse and she is happy to be in the barn with company, or all alone. She is honest to the fences, but is currently schooling small jumps and cross rails while she learns to focus and look for the next fence and develop form. Wren has started competing in schooling dressage and jumper shows and her price will continue to increase the further experience and confidence she gains. At her first jumper show she had to hack across the farm from the trailers solo, ride in an indoor with large mirrors for the first time ever to warm up, and then enter the big and distracting outdoor jump arena. While she was distracted by all of the excitement, scenery and other horses, she was not the least bit concerned with the jumps or the job at hand. After finishing her round she hacked out solo to the cross country field to gain some experience out there. She does have a scar on her right hind leg that does not effect her and she has a current PPE on file within the last year. Wren is current on all routine care, dental and shoeing. She is just a lovely and easy going mare who really likes people.

Wren's ideal rider is someone who has experience riding an off the track thoroughbred who is confident in guiding her through her retraining and not uncomfortable with green or uncertain moments. She seems to enjoy doing different activities, but does feel best with someone who is patient and quietly helps her gain experience and confidence in what she is doing.
